Wiedersehen after 30 years at CFB Baden-Soellingen
Wolfgang Eberts aka the flying Gardener and honorable member of 421 Squadron welcomes the 20 Pilots and their spouses to a trip down the memory lane.
On September 29th 2007 the group revisited CFB Baden and refreshed memories. A big highlight was the meeting with the Mother of all pilots Frau Johanna Jörger, Herr Rene Wehrle Chief bartender of the Officers mess and Christel Dienst who many remember for trying her best teaching those pilots German and French.

Other guests; Canadians that stayed behind like Wing Commander Bass Lawler (439 Tiger Squadron) and Ralph Ralph Harrison joined in on the reunion.
When asked about the changes to the former CFB Baden many reply: Its very different. For Elmer Dow it has been about 32 years since he last been here and agrees with Major ret. Ed McKeogh: we enjoy the memories and time we spend in this region. Mrs. Barbara des Brisay wife of former Wing Commander Jack des Brisbay explains that for many Canadian Forces members Germany was one of the best and memorable postings. Children were born here and life long friendships were formed.
After the welcome ceremony at the Air terminal the group was invited to visit the German-Canadian Airforce Museum.

We like to thank Wolfgang Eberts for the report on this memorable event and Frau Nina-Christiana Ebersbach photograph, for letting us use the wonderful pictures. Please respect the copyright.
