
Kirschenplotzer - Black Forest
5-6 buns or one french baguette
450 ml milk
250 g butter
6 eggs
180 g sugar
200 g almonds sticks
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
pinch of clove powder
Black Forest Kirsch Schnapps to taste
1.5 kg fresh sweet dark cherries, pitted
tear your bread (buns) into pieces
heat the milk and pour over the bread
let the bread swell up slightly
beat soft butter until frothy
separate the eggs,
mix egg yolks and sugar into the butter
add almonds, cinnamon, clove and Schnapps
mix in the bread milk mixture
beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the mixture
wash the cherries and mix with the dough
Pour batter into a well greased rectangular baking dish
preheat oven to 200C, bake for 70 minutes
