Bob Kelly † November 05, 2007 Bob was a member of the RCR while serving in Germany. Bob passed away following two operations, he will be missed

F/Sgt J.W.G. Guy Fortier † 2007 Guy was the author of "I Mean-Is That All You Do-Play In The Band" featured in the Base History Section of Baden-Soellingen Remembered. Guy was an avide booster of anything and everything RCAF. To know him was indeed an enriching experience for anyone who shared his love for airforce blue. Rest in Peace Guy Fortier when they made you they threw away the mold.

Bob Engelhard † 2007 Bob was an AFP in 4 Wing during the1960's. Bob was 63 years old, living in Sarnia for over 30 years

Dan Houlahan † October 22, 2007 Dan passed away very suddenly at the age of 48. He will be missed by his family and former high school friends from Baden Soellingen

Rev. Art Flath (LCol Rtd) † October 01, 2007 It is with a very heavy heart that I notify everyone that my father, Art Flath, passed away peacefully from his long bout with cancer in his home Monday 1 October am, surrounded by friends and family. He was blessed with a wonderful life and more importantly went without regret and knowing that he had a great number of family, friends, acquaintances, parishioners and on and on who cared and respected him for his generosity, personality, love of life and caring attitude. My mother, Joy, is doing well all things considered and is being overwhelmed with the outpouring of peoples hearts since the news has broken. He served as Base Chaplain in Baden from 1976 - 1980 then was in Lahr as Command Chaplain for Europe 1982 - 1984. He has gone to a better place and will be missed! Art Flath Tribute

Tina Lawrance † 2007 Tina was a Registered Nurse at the CFB Baden "Flugplatzkrankenhaus". She served from 1973 to 1976. Sadly missed by her two daughters and myself and her many friends and ex-patients. She touched a lot of lives.

Jack Kearley (CWO Retired) † August 12, 2007 Jack was Chief Fire Fighter at CFB Baden from 1975 to 1980

Syd Phillips †August, 2007 Syd has touched many lives during his 83 years. Many of us knew him through his role at the licensing section. His final resting place will be the cemetery located in the town of Soellingen among many of his late friends and former colleagues.

Donald Leo Neville †July 28, 2007 Donnie was born in Springhill NS January 12, 1944. He retired after 35 years of service from the CAF (RCN). He will be missed by family and friends. Condolences may be made through: Middleton Funeral Home

Kip McLean † June 27, 2007 Kip McLean passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Chuck Kruse † May 28, 2007 Chuck passed away after prolonged illness. Sincere sympathy goes out to his wife and daughters. Chuck was stationed in Baden 78-83 with 1 CAG maintenance and will be fondly remembered by many.

Jack Salsman † May 01, 2007 Jack retired from the Canadian Armed Forces with 25 years service having served in five regiments; Black Watch, PPCLI, 3 Mech Cdo and RCR and retiring as a Warrant Officer. Jack was a friend to all and will be missed.

Melanie Endel (nee Rumpf) † January 9, 2007 Edmonton, AB Melanie battled breast cancer for 6 months. Melanie was a cheerful, loving and devoted mother of 14 year old Justin and 12 year old Melissa. Melanie was a great person and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Cheryl Marie Schaffer (nee Muise) † June 26, 2006 Cheryl attended BSS from 1978-1982 and was a gate guard from 1989-2001. She passed away after a 4 year battle with cancer. Her husband, Peter and the rest of her family will miss her dearly. She will always live in our hearts. Online condolences

Cpl. Randy Payne † April 22, 2006 Cpl. Randy Payne was born in CFB Lahr son of Dave and Nancy Payne stationed in CFB Baden from 1977 till 1982. Randy was killed in a roadside bomb attack while serving for his country in Kandahar, Afghanistan Online condolences

Tammy Connors † February 9th, 2006 Tammy lost her battle with cancer, she will be missed. She was a loving and caring person and so full of life. Tammy rest in peace.

Ernie Cotter † October 2nd, 2005 Ernie Cotter was stationed in CFB Baden in the70's and 80's as armourer. and a member of Baden Rube Band. Ernie's last resting place ist the Atlantic ocean, where his ashes where scattered; as per his wishes.

Rea Knelson † Rea, born March, 1941 past away on June 8th 2005 Rea worked in the Canex in Baden in differnt Department's finally as Manager of Liquior & Smokes Dept. Rea was also involved with the WO's & Sgt's Mess Wives club.

Maggie Ferguson † 20th of April, 2005 Maggie was survived by her loving husband Dan Ferguson. 3RCR Germany Baden Soellingen 1980-1982 Many will remember Maggie and her spirit as the volunteer nurse at the school on base, the chairperson of Willkommen Frauen, the bar tender of the CC club on base or as the beautiful queen of the Zoo in Hugie she will never be forgotten!!

Agnes & Jack Grant † 2005 Edmonton, AB Sgt. Jack A. Grant (1919-2005) formerly of Edmonton, passed away January 18, 2005. Agnes Grant (1922-2005) passed away March 23, 2005 The Grant's were stationed in 4 Wing from 1960 - 1964.

Harry Stone † February 17, 2005 in England Harry 80 years old, passed away at a hospital in England from complications of a surgery; survived by his wife Betty. Harry Stone was a former electronics technician with CFNS and previously with the RCAF. After leaving CFB Baden Harry and Betty moved back to their homeland of England.

Bill Bray Sr. † December 23rd, 2004 in Carleton Place, Ontario Bill fought cancer for many years, but eventually lost the battle. Bill was 81 years old; survived by his wife Joan, 3 children, 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He passed away just one day shy of his 59th wedding anniversary. Bill served at both 3-Wing and 4-Wing working as a Med-A at the base hospital.

Don Young, † May 19, 2004 Don joined the RCAF as an Armourer and served in Baden from 1969 - 1974 and probably was best known as a drummer in the Rube Band. A Memorial Service was held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch in Cold Lake on 26 May 2004

Thomas Beresford Sellers † Tom, born Aug 25, 1942, in Toronto passed away peacefully in hospital in Nanaimo, BC on January 21, 2004.. Tom was raised in Toronto by his loving family, and joined the RCAF as a member of Squadron 439 from 1965 to 1969.

Glen Seguin † September 18, 2003 Ottawa, ON Glen was stationed in Baden from 1964 to 1976. He was tragically killed in an Ultra light plane crash

Omar (Barney) Goguen † August 16, 2003 Barney served with the Airborne, 2nd and 3rd Battalion of the RCR and I think the PPCLI. He served in Baden in the early 80s and was posted to CFB Gagetown until he retired to Saint John, NB.

Wayne (Tiny Buffalo) Bissonette † March 25, 2003 Wayne worked in the Armament Section in 1CAG and also was a volunteer at the Radio Station.Memorial service was held in Cold Lake, Alberta on April 19th.

Joseph Burrage † of Calgary passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at the age of 50 years.

In Memory of Pipe -Major John Huggan 25 Jan 1930 - 31 Aug 2001 John first came to Germany in 1951 when the Canadian Forces were stationed in Hannover for some years and he returned permanently in 1971. During his 30 years of living and working in Lahr and Baden-Soellingen, the stirring sound of his pipes made him one of the most well-known and well-loved characters in the whole of the Canadian military community.

Capt. Gus Youngson † August 6th 2001 Capt. Youngson was stationed in Baden from was stationed in Baden during the late 1970's/early 1980's

Marcel Gauthier † September 21, 1999 Marcel was stationed in Baden from '87-'92 . Manager of CFNS radio and TV and thoroughly enjoyed his job mainly because of all the wonderful people that worked with him. He was Master of Ceremonies at the closing party in Baden...on his 50th birthday.

Jackie Harrison October 3, 1961 - December 13, 1997 During her time at CFB Baden-Soellingen 1979-1984 Jackie was working for CE Roads & Grounds

John Merlin † June 1997 John served with 128 Bty and retired in Germany.

David Kenneth Wilson October 2, 1971 - March 11, 1997 David died of cancer at the age of 25, he is sadly missed by his mother Donna Domitrek (Wilson) and his sister Crystal Wilson. David attended Baden Senior High School, he resided at CFB Baden Soellingen from September 1985 until January 1988.
