Bev Bowra, passed on peacefully Friday May 18, 2012 in Burlington, Ontario


Bev was the principal of Baden Junior School  in the years 1974 to 1977.
A great leader and kind mentor; he will be dearly missed by all those who were enriched by knowing him.

Robert "Bob" Fiander


May 25, 1957 - March 8, 2012

 

Retired MWO Robert (Bob) W. Fiander passed away March 8, 2012 in Kanata, Ontario after a brief battle with cancer.

Bob served at 1AMS in Baden Soellingen from 1988-1993

 

Bob's 26 year tenure allowed him to pursue his passion for aviation.  He embarked on his career at CFB Sheawater in 1974 and retired at CFB Esquimalt in 2000.

 

His skill as an airframe technician called him to serve in Nova Scotia, Alberta, Baden, Iraq and British Columbia.

 

Bob will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Barb McCulloch

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barb McCulloch.
Barb passed away peacefully in her sleep in Orleans, Ontario.


Barb and her family were first stationed in Baden-Soellingen mid 70- early 80tees, working at the Bank of Montreal and later in the office of the Ambassador Lounge.

For those of you that were posted to Germany from 88 - 93 you would have had the pleasure to meet Barb in one of her many capacities. From selling insurance in Hugie; her many trips with the travel group on Base to Prague shopping, to her involvement with the first 3 RCR Ladies Nijmegan Team,


Barb was an amazing woman.

 

James Edward Kallman


August 1959 - July 2005

Retired Sergant James Kallman passed away July 2005  in Wainwright AB, after a lenghty battle with cancer.
James was stationed with the 2PPCLI in Baden Soellingen between 1984-1988 and then worked for Roads & Grounds until 1992.

He is dearly remembered by his wife Theresa Slavik; his family and friends.

 

Peter Joseph Murphy

Peter Joseph Murphy passed away January 3, 2012 in Barrie, Ontario
PJ. Murphy worked at the 3 Mech in the mid 70'tees later worked for the CE Section in Baden Soellingen and run the "My kind of country" radio show at CFNS. He was also one of the announcers with John Merlin at the hockey games.

Randall John "Randy" Bonany, past away on the 2nd of January 2012 in Hamilton Ontario.

Randy  served during 1977-1979 in Baden Soellingen as a member of 3RCR and later remastered to the trade of Military Police..
Randy Bonany will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

William Henry "Bill" Parks, past away peacefully on the 17th of August, 2001 in Dartmouth General Hospital.

Bill was a member of 1 CAG Maintenance Squadron at CFB Baden Soellingen in the early 1980tees and spend many years at 12 Wing Shearwater.
Bill Parks will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

James Lockridge


September 4, 1938 - May 13, 2011

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of James "Jim" Francis Lockridge, beloved husband of Marilyn of Calgary, on Friday, May 13, 2011 at the age of 72 years. Jim was a proud military man and served thirty-five years in the Canadian Air Force, retiring in 1990 with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer at the Canadian Forces Headquarters in Ottawa.While serving at Force 4 Wing Baden-Soellingen Jim was a member of the  Raiders and is remembered as a great player and a wonderful teammate.

Lloyd John Liggett


August 1, 1917 – September 17, 2010

Lloyd passed away peacefully on September 17, 2010 at the age of 93 years.

Lloyd was born in 1917 in Zealandia Saskatchewan, to Olive and John Liggett. He stayed on the farm until the late 1930’s and left to receive training in sheet metal aviation in California. He returned to Canada and joined the RCAF in 1941 and married Margaret Brandon that same year. He started his flying career as an instructor with the British Commonwealth Air Training Program during WWII and continued with the RCAF for twenty five years, serving two tours of duty in 414 Squadron in Baden Soellingen, Germany and France as a fighter pilot and staff officer, finally retiring as a Wing Commander with NATO in 1966. Lloyd and his family had happy memories of many trips throughout Europe and the Middle East.
