The Weitenung local history museum is announcing it’s
“Kanadier in Mittelbaden” (Canadians in middle Baden) Exhibition

The exhibition highlights the time between 1953 to 1993 when the Canadians were stationed in the region.
Pictures and other artifacts will revive the times Canadians made the Baden region its home.
The main focus is the coexistence of Canadians and
Germans in Weitenung, where many Canadians lived and were members of the community joining local clubs (German-Canadian club,
Carnival clubs, church choir, etc.). There are still many
friendships across the Atlantic, which are maintained.
