Sky Lancer Memorial Plaque
Does anybody know more about this Memorial Plaque? Where was it originally mounted !!
The Sky Lancer Memorial Plaque has been created to commemorate
the 'Sky Lancers' aerobatic team crash March 2, 1956 at this time the team was based out of 4 F Wing Baden-Soellingen.
Four of the five members died practicing their intricate flight maneuvers near the Vosges Mountains, France
It is unknown at this point where the Plaque had been originally mounted.
Mr. Armin Karcher historian of 3 Fighter Wing RCAF Zweibrücken discovered the Plaque in a flea market 2010 in Bitche Lothringen, France
Being very familiar with the CFB Europe history he knew that he had a treasure on his hand and donated the plaque to Lt. Laurie Trepanier of the RCAF Museum Cold Lake
