I would like to thank everyone for all the messages of condolences to our family for the loss of our father.

He would be thrilled alot of you remembered his job when he was the Cocky Brit Driver Examiner on the Base.

He will be sadly missed.
Sandy (daughter)

I was a snot-nosed 16 year-old base brat in '86, and Syd was the first examiner I ever took my driving test with...."you need to be going at LEAST 140 on the Autobahn son if you're going to pass this test!" I can't say I knew him well, but I liked him and am sorry to hear of his passing. I played a lot of badminton with his son Chris, and remember them both very well.... please pass on my condolences as well.
